.
Polish-Belarusian folklore in a pulsating dialogue of violin, rhythm and electronics
DUALITY is a Polish-Belarusian duo that merges traditional music from the Eastern European borderlands with contemporary electronics and club aesthetics. Their original work draws from folk melodies and vocal traditions, transforming them into an intense, contemporary form situated between world music, experimental sound, and live electronics.
At the core of their sound lies the contrast and dialogue between two distinctive artistic voices: violinist and vocalist Daria Butskaya, who works with the technique of “white voice” (a raw, untrained vocal style typical of Eastern European and Balkan traditions) and brings a deep knowledge of traditional music, and producer and multi-instrumentalist SPACEPIERRE, who contributes electronics, rhythmic structure, and club-driven energy.
The result is music that oscillates between ritual urgency and contemporary sound design. Acoustic instruments naturally intertwine with electronics, repetitive rhythms with improvisation, and raw vocal expression with carefully crafted production. DUALITY offers a concert experience that is both introspective and physically compelling, connecting tradition with a current musical language in a way that resonates across scenes and audiences.
