WOOONTA (TW)

WOOONTA embodies an artistic dialogue between two of the most evocative Eastern instruments—the Erhu and the Sitar—interweaving their distinct timbres into a soundscape that is both intricate and boundless. Their music transcends traditions, crafting a refined interplay of tonal depth, dynamic contrasts, and expansive textures.

Since its inception in 2015, WOOONTA has established itself on the international stage, performing at renowned festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Luzern Music Festival, and Taiwan World Music Festival. Their debut album, Wooontaful, earned multiple nominations at the Taiwan Golden Melody Awards and won Best Composition and Arrangement for its innovative synthesis of musical elements.

In 2023, WOOONTA was the opening act for the Taiwan broadcast of the globally televised Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Concert—a testament to their artistic significance. Their critically acclaimed albums, Wooontaful and Borderless Realm, have both been featured on JAZZ ATTITUDE, recognized for their seamless integration of tradition and innovation.
